Laine Kaplowitz

Laine Kaplowitz was born in Cleveland and has lived in Detroit, Chicago, Dallas and Boston. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA in Communications Studies. Four years ago Laine moved to Washington, DC. Currently she lives on Capitol Hill with her husband, ABC Political reporter Rick Klein, and their black lab mix, Alfie. She heads up the publicity team for Landmark Theatres.
Laine has a sister Stacy and two brothers-in-laws, Joel and Todd, with whom she is very close. She tries to spend as much time with her family and friends as possible.
Laine has seen many family and friends battle cancer. Most with inspirational outcomes, some not. When one of her closest friends, Jaime Cohen, brought this opportunity to her attention she couldn’t think of a better way to give back to an important cause.
