Katie was born and grew up in London, UK until she went to Nottingham University to study Chemistry. Katie has always loved being involved in a range of activities, from sport to music, and debating to art.
Katie works as a cost consultant in the construction industry for Gardiner & Theobald. She currently lives and works in Bristol. Since moving to Bristol, Katie has attended life drawing classes, been involved in raising money for charities through participating in the Bath Half Marathon and the Annual Bristol Dragonboat Racing Competition and is currently studying a Masters in Construction Cost Engineering at University of Reading. She is working towards becoming a chartered surveyor and hopes to focus on environmental areas and sustainability issues as her career progresses.
Katie is really excited to be joining the Peru Rocks expedition.The trip combines so many aspects that she enjoys; physical challenge, meeting new people, exploration and discovery of other cultures,live music and helping others. She has set a target of sponsorship to raise for the Love Hope Strength Foundation and is hoping to smash it!
