Jorge Rodriguez

Jorge Rodriguez discovered his passion for travel & adventure at a very young age. He was raised between Costa Rica and Mexico and his travels have since led him to Europe, South America, Central America, Mexico, and Asia. At the age of 12, Jorge relocated with his family to El Paso, Texas. It was here that Jorge was discovered as a star soccer player and traveled the U.S. on yet another one of his great adventures. Just before he was to begin his professional soccer career in Italy, Jorge was inflicted with a very serious knee injury and was unable to pursue his dream further.

Jorge was both humbled by this experience and further encouraged to continue striving to be a better person. With time, Jorge became a Sports Director/Anchor for Univision covering some of the most important soccer leagues in Mexico, which later landed him an international spot covering the 2006 Germany World Cup for Republica Deportiva.

Today, Jorge is still an avid soccer player and has a passion for travel, food, sports, and documentary film making. He’s also a part-time actor but prefers the behind-the-camera world that allows him to truly express his creativity. His idea of meditation is getting on his BMW motorcycle and riding for hours.

Jorge is especially passionate about Peru Rocks, as it pays homage to his beloved grandfather who died of lung cancer. Jorge is also a big believer in giving back and loves to do volunteer work, assisting his time with everything from humanitarian causes to animal rights.

Jorge now lives in Los Angeles and works as the Sports Director for Azteca America and continues his freelance work with various film projects. After Peru, Jorge will be traveling to South Africa to continue his humanitarian efforts.

Jorge’s motto, “Live Life”.
