Until February 15, 2008 I had always thought that cancer happens to other people. That was the day that I got the phone call that the biopsy that I had taken a couple of days before came back positive for thyroid cancer. How could I have cancer? I’ve always been active, riding and taking care of my horses and farm, eaten healthy, hiking, running, juggling my real estate brokerage, diving with the great white sharks, deep sea fishing, traveling and exploring the world. True, I was always tired, but I did more things than most people in a day and as long as I was moving, I was fine. And as for my night sweats, I thought everyone had those. I’d had them for years and never paid attention to them.

Fast forward two months and two surgeries later and I reconnected with Mike and Jules Peters, whom I had met years ago at the opening of the Hard Rock in Cabo San Lucas, Mx. They told me of the LOVE, HOPE STRENGTH foundation and what great work they do. Machu Pichu is number one on my bucket list, having just done the list for New Year’s 2008 and the timing is just perfect! My love of the outdoors, adventure, Machu Pichu and cancer, all rolled into one. I am honored to have to opportunity to participate in this great adventure. I am always looking for ways to give back to the community and this charity strikes close to home. Please join me with your support!

I’ve been living in Orange County for almost 30 years now, have a very successful real estate brokerage specializing in equestrian property and have been able to combine my love of horses with real estate in Southern California.
